EXTRACTING BEES FROM A LARGE LOG - Part 1

I knew I was no match for this large wild hive alone, so I called in reinforcements. A team of local beekeepers discussed this project. On the day of the extraction there were two beekeepers, the land owner, two reps from the city and me there on scene. I was available for help, but mostly my role was to record the process for educational purposes.

The Safety Talk and Walk Around

Every good story and adventure starts with character development and a safety talk, right? Well, this episode was just that. The lead beekeeper with the plan started this day out with a good talk about bees and how to be safe around them.
