Wandle Falls - On the Edge of the Tarkine Wilderness (Tasmania)

The Wandle River in Tasmania flows through the temperate rain forest of the Tarkine Wilderness area (often referred to as simply "the Tarkine"). The falls area below is technically just outside the boundary of the Tarkine but the forest here is contiguous with this pristine area. This waterfall is not signposted and seldom visited but the Tarkine as a whole is a growing eco-tourism destination.

Shortly (in an hour or so) I will be posting a black &white shot from Wandle Falls and tomorrow I plan to post some very colourful fungi from this site. So stay tuned :-)
