Discovering my Purpose in Life
My prayers have been answered.
rich dad poor dadYou probably didn't even know but you are a big part of it.
Over 10 years ago, after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, I learned the importance of passive income and having your own business.
Problem was I just didn't know what type of business to choose!
I looked at different options and seriously considered opening a Subway sandwich store in Los Angeles but decided against it because it required way too much start up investment and making sandwiches was not my passion.
Then I read Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren and after doing the exercises for 40 days and praying everyday, I realized that God had spoken to me.
I learned that God's purpose in my life was to have a positive purpose driven lifeimpact on as many lives as possible.
And when I learned this about myself, it made sense since even though I was shy and quiet, ever since college, I've always enjoyed mentoring others.
Whether it was coaching basketball to keep kids from hanging out on the streets in Chinatown NYC to mentoring kids in the fellowship at my church, I enjoyed being a “big brother” to youths.
I strongly believe everything happens for a reason.
Once I discovered my purpose in life, I bumped into the business that I was looking for; network marketing!
MLM was the perfect business for me and God had answered my prayer.
Not only would I be able to enjoy the benefits of a business and residual income but the ONLY WAY I could be successful is by helping mentor and coach others.
In other words, I could fulfill my purpose in life and that's the reason I chose to start a MLM business.
True Power of Network Marketing
As I grew my business and trained distributors from over 14 countries, I discovered the REAL POWER of MLM.
And it's not about the money nor lifestyle.
The real power of network marketing is the ability to empower and help others.
You have the chance to positively impact hundreds of thousands.
In the last 10 years, I've realized that the reason I love MLM is because I can make a difference in this world.
I enjoy teaching and motivating others and watching others become successful.
It started out with just helping my downlines and then it expanded to helping crosslines and the entire MLM community.
And the best part is that I love doing it.
You Can't Fake It
It would probably sound better if I told you I just help people cause it's what we should do.
But that's not my reason.
My own selfish reason for helping is because I enjoy it.
It is my purpose in life.
I can't lie and tell you that I do it “cause it's the right thing to do” because you can't fake passion and commitment.
And my actions prove it.
I spend thousands of hours of creating free training resources because I love it.
Nothing beats the satisfaction of knowing that you made a positive impact on someone's life.
If MLM didn't help me fulfill my purpose and passion in life to helps others become successful, I would not have over 650 blog posts on this site or over 300 videos on my Youtube channel, or my free MLM Training iPhone App or over 52,000 fans on my Facebook Fanpage.
That would be hard to fake.
And all that training is free!
It's free cause the satisfaction I get from reading the emails and testimonials you send me on how my training has helped you is more valuable than any money you can pay me.
I have a Simple and Plain Dreamboard
You'd be disappointed if you looked at my Dream Board.
It doesn't have any fancy cars nor big mansions.
I'm a very boring and simple person and I don't care about the toys.
There is nothing wrong with those things but it's not me.
To me, creating memories is more important than the materialistic things.
Because 10 seconds before I'm going to die, my mind will be thinking about the relationships and people that I've helped.
My belongings and bank account will be the last thing I think of.
The True Power of MLM
This past week I was giving advice to one of my Advanced Diamond Mastermind coaching members.
This leader has undergone tremendous challenges in network marketing and had seen both the good and the very bad.
MLM is just like anything in the world and has bad apples as well and for her in particular, she has encountered more negative things in MLM than other job or businesses she's been involved with.
It's been a tough journey for her but she keeps going.
I felt bad but also curious about her persistence in the profession so I asked why she still builds her MLM business so passionately. Why not do something else?
She reminded me of the true POWER of MLM.
She says that MLM is the ONLY business that allows her to positively influence so many people.
And she is right.
With each training blog and video, I have a direct impact on not just the 300,000 distributors in my MLM company but millions in the entire network marketing community.
THAT is the true power of MLM.
If I had opened my Subway sandwich store, how many people could I have helped?
MLM gives me the power to have a positive impact on as many lives as possible.
It allows me to live my purpose driven life. 🙂
