The Steemit Newbie Resteem Initiative Week 1.

This is the first post for the Steemit Newbie Resteem Initiative, we are an initiative aimed at strengthening the Steemit platform by promoting and supporting new users in their first month on Steemit. Most of us started on Steemit at a ranking of 25 and began our journey on the platform like most do with an introduction post. After that we all labored with sincerity to produce quality content and submitted the posts with fingers crossed. Like most fresh efforts on Steemit these posts rarely take off, but what does happen along the way is you encounter people who are always willing to help by giving advice and guidance on how to proceed forward. Whether it's help on the content you create, help securing your account, or a vote and resteem, chances are that you haven't made it to a ranking of over 40 without assistance from other users. The Steemit Newbie Resteem Initiative would like to pay the help we have all received forward to new users by devoting a collective effort to finding newbies and resteeming them. If you are at a ranking of 40 or over you may be a minnow, but your far from inexperienced on Steemit, that experience can be brought forward to help strengthen the platform by assisting new users and helping them to stick with Steemit in the early days of their experience here.

How we propose to do this is as follows:

1: On a day of your choosing you make an effort to find new users with a ranking of 40 or below who have just joined in the past month and resteem a quality post off of their blog.

2: You find at least 10 new users a week and provide guidance and support in getting them started on Steemit.

3: Create a group of founding members for the project. Basically if you have a ranking of over 40 or higher and have over 500 followers then please feel free to volunteer. Founders will have a few details and duties. I.e helping and guiding a minimal of at least 20 new users every week, resteeming at least 10 new users every week who have only just joined in the past 30 days, and devoting a day of your choosing to helping new users who have only just arrived.

4: Out of our founders group we want to form a voting group where the SBD reward from each of the weekly review posts created for the Steemit Newbie Resteem Initiative go towards picking and promoting a post from two new users every week, and the runners up that are suggested get their post featured in a weekly best of new users post I'll create every week and post under the #newbieresteemday tag. Again, all SBD earned off of these posts go towards promoting the next weeks chosen best posts from new users. Ideally I'd like to have at least 15 founders who are really devoted to promoting Steemit and new users so give me a shout in comments if this is something that you may be interested in.

5: Start a category called #newbieresteemday and weekly create posts centered around a review of how the Steemit Resteem Initiative is progressing. People who want to be a part of our effort can also post under this hash tag as well. Whether it's a new idea in regards to how to help new Steemers, a post on an exceptional new users content that impressed you, or you're new and feel like creating a post about how the Newbie Resteem Initiative helped you out in your early days. The tag is all about providing support for the newbie, and contributing to and strengthening Steemit.

Most of us here on Steemit create posts and hope for votes for the monetary gain and that's part of what makes Steemit amazing. We can gain exposure for our creative content and earn in the process. The Steemit Newbie Resteem Initiative is about contributing to Steemit for the benefit of Steemit. Resteeming one post for every three post created won't clog your blog and is a huge moral boost to any new user. All SBD gained from this post will go towards promoting two new users posts. If you are interested in becoming a founding member of this initiative then please feel free shout me in comments below, as long as you are a hard working Steemer who has a positive presence then I'd love to hear from you. You can also feel free to suggest a post for resteeming from a new user that may have caught your eye as I'm more than happy to help out. You can also ask @davemccoy any questions as he is assisting me in getting this initiative off the ground and is one of the first founders next to myself. His efforts in promoting new users are unparalleled on Steemit and he does it all selflessly so don't be shy about contacting either of us. Thank you so much for reading and I look forward to hearing from you guys. As always Steem on.
