A large fire broke out in a warehouse in Oakland, where there was a rave party. Nine people died. Dozens of people were inside the building when it was engulfed in flames, according to East Bay Times.

UPDATE Nine people died in the fire in the converted former warehouse club, authorities said. Another 25 people are missing. Firefighters have not finished to verify the entire building, which means that the number of deaths could rise in the next few hours.
Up to 70 people attending a party inside the warehouse when the fire started, for reasons still unknown. Revelers were evacuated by firefighters.
