Real News Crazier Than Comic Books - Hey Steemit - We Are Going to Mars, Seriously

"Making Life Multiplanetary"

Pretty amazing news late in the night, Elon Musk gave a talk for SpaceX with a huge announcement.  I was watching The Orville but thought about how silly it is to watch a fiction show about space when some real space shit is going on.   You read the title of this post, this is for real.   Here is the plan in a nutshell, in just a mere five years away SpaceX will be having two missions that will be kind of scoping out fully the specifics of Mars and any kinks that need to be worked out.    The plan for after that is by 2024 (fingers crossed) two ships fully loaded with 100 people each.

Folks!  This is happening!

The talk he gave was full of good visuals and very easy to understand, however there will be links underneath the video below with some summaries if you'd prefer to digest more of this information but not watch Elon Musk get fully technical.  Though watching the full thing is recommended, it is exciting.   Mars is literally just half the amazing information he provides on what is going to be happening with the new tech they have figured out, this includes long distance flights being cut dramatically, say like LA to New York .. IN 25 MINUTES! .. or let me just quote their tweet from an hour ago,
"Anywhere on Earth in Under an Hour"

Do you remember Richard Branson was accepting Bitcoin for Virgin Galactic flights?  Let's get @Ned to hit up Elon and see if we can use some Steem to pay for our flights!

Post Edit: He just put on his Instagram "Fly to most places on Earth in under 30 mins and anywhere in under 60. Cost per seat should be about the same as full fare economy in an aircraft. Forgot to mention that." and a link to this video
