The two Voyager missions were launched in August and September 1977

NASA is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Voyager missions with a very special set of posters and infographics that are sure to delight any space exploration enthusiast.

Simple and full of color, it would not be surprising if someone had the idea of hanging one of these posters on one wall, especially when it came to a mission as special as Voyager.

The Quartz remembers that the two Voyager aircraft were launched in August and September 1977 with a difference of 16 days, effectively taking advantage of a rare alignment between planets.
