Drugs found in women's wheel chair

An unsuspecting women in an electronic wheelchair was caught with drugs with an estimated street value of $500 000. Yoncela Stanley arrived at the JFK Airport Sunday from St. Lucia. Reports state that the women appeared nervous when customs officials had selected her for a random baggage check. Due to her nervous appearance k-9 dogs were called to sniff the women’s belongings. The Dog alerted the officials that contraband was present in the women’s wheelchair.

The women had to be removed from the chair so a thorough search of the wheelchair could talk place. The cushions were removed to which the weight was found to be unusually heavy. Upon further inspecting the cushions, 10bricks of cocaine weighing about 27 pounds were found.

Now we really have to give a round of applause for the US Customs and Border Protection agents for finding this one. The Acting director of the field operations New York commended the agents for demonstrating vigilance and displaying excellence in detecting those who would try to smuggle these illegal drugs.

I think the K9 Dog deserves a big treat. Good boy!!
