This Week in the Sndbox
Welcome to the 2nd State of the Sndbox newsletter! This week, we’ve been preparing more explanatory tools for fellow Steemians and introducing new Sndbox members. On the project side, we’re excited to announce our continuation and development of the STEEM Park project. Be sure to read up on all the exciting updates below!
Each week we’ll introduce the newest @sndbox members and share updates on their work. Be sure to give each of these new Steemians a warm welcome! Follow their profiles for more on their respective interests and practices.
@Awillbrown is a museum curator focused on the relationship-building opportunities of exhibitions and public art. Through his work on and offline, he’s interested in “where exhibitions and programs can take us and how Steemit can be a major force in creating new content and supporting ideas.”
"I'm chiefly interested in how exhibitions can build relationships and lasting networks and systems of knowledge. For me this means that an exhibition can be a dinner, a meeting, a symposium, screening, lecture, performance, play, single artwork presentation, online, or in a home."
@Design-guy is the founder and creative director of his own boutique agency in New York City. By his own words, he “loves to design everything” and has professionally tackled a diverse spectrum of creative realms from bonafide architecture to virtual reality.
"I'm a creative director running my own boutique agency in NYC after about 6 years working at other companies including a digital agency, a branding agency and designing skyscrapers at an large architecture firm. We work on a range of projects that include branding, building websites, marketing strategy, producing architectural concepts, creative consulting, building 3d VR experiences, producing graphic materials, etc."
Tools For the Community
Every week, we at Sndbox will package ideas and strategies so that we can share resources with all Steemians. We use these methods to quickly familiarize Sndbox members with the technology and website so they can integrate their practices as efficiently as possible.
This week we have two parts. On Monday we illustrated and explained the basic layout of Steemit and the body of a typical blog post. Yesterday, we outlined a suggested template for composing your "story." Click the links below for more!
What to Look Out For This Week
Tomorrow and Friday we have some big updates regarding STEEM Park and its future. In the past few weeks, we’ve been working closely with the Von King Park Conservancy and even on-boarded their Programs Associate onto Steemit! We’ll outline the entire transition process and future goals tomorrow.
We're super excited that STEEM Park is going abroad! After putting our brains together with @roychoi who flew from Korea to attend and document the unveiling of the project, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be helping him develop the next version in Seoul, South Korea! You can read his original Korean post here and we’ll be doing an extensive english report on Friday.
Make sure to give @roychoi your support!
