How Can I Get Involved With ONO?

We are listening to people and have been busy addressing your questions, and right now the big question seems to be:

“How can I get involved with ONO?”

ONO is a bit different from other social networks due its focus on building out the social fabric which will become the essential backbone of the entire ONO social network. What this means is that ONO is following the path of organic social growth, and it actually mimics the way that people in real life form social bonds, relationships and friend networks. Before we release the article that contains the concrete steps that people need to take to get involved, we want to fully explain the different roles within ONO, so that people can figure out where they are best suited for engaging with our platform.

What is the Difference Between a Super Partner, Community Partner and a Volunteer in ONO?

Many have asked the question, “How do I become a Super Partner?’ and hopefully, after you read this, you will understand the differences between a Super Partner, Community Partner and a Volunteer.

The ONO social network is unique in that it places special emphasis on building the social fabric of its ecosystem before opening it up to the general public and crypto traders/speculators. ONO is already well-funded and at this critical stage of building out the social ecosystem, which is very fragile in beginning stages, ONO wants to remain free of speculators and others who do not share ONO’s commitment to long-term organic social growth. Crypto investors and traders will be able to come into the scene later, once the social ecosystem has been properly cultivated, built and greater stability is achieved. In other words, once the ONO values are existing within the users of ONO, real value can be achieved. We do not want speculators creating chaos in the beginning of ONO’s growth.

All Super Partners start out as Volunteers.

Why? Volunteers are the social backbone of the ONO social network. They help educate newbies, assist the Community Partners and Super Partners with various things like helping explain ONO to new users, sharing information, welcoming people in the Telegram English channel, writing articles, creating how-to videos, inviting friends to join, etc. Volunteers are very important in ONO because without them the Community Partners and Super Partners would not be able to function at all.

Volunteers have read and understand the ONO White Paper and embody the values of ONO. The values of ONO in a nutshell: treat people like you would like to be treated. It’s actually quite simple. They also have taken a written test about the White Paper and passed it. This test will be released in the future for the international community, so the best way to keep up to date about this, is to follow the social channels like Twitter, Steemit and Medium. Also, the English Telegram channel has many ONO Volunteers in it who are ready to answer your questions. But really, most of the basic answers are contained in the ONO White Paper.

Community Partners start out as Volunteers.

Community Partners are volunteers who become exceptionally valuable to newbies and who work hard to make the ONO ecosystem better, in numerous ways, for example, helping the Super Partners, establishing trust among newbies, writing, sharing, educating others, solving problems (both interpersonal, technical and otherwise), influencing/educating large amounts of people, establishing a personal ONO group either on Telegram, Discord, Facebook, etc.
Community Partners emerge organically from the group of Volunteers and are extremely motivated by ONO’s philosophy and core values. Their strength lies in their ability to solve problems for others and in their deep understanding of the ONO White Paper. Community Partners are more influential than Volunteers and may already have an existing social media presence on platforms like Twitter, Steemit, Medium, Facebook, Instagram, etc. This is not necessary, but it’s a possibility. They are more committed time-wise than Volunteers too.

Super Partners start out as Volunteers, then become Community Partners. From the group of Community Partners, Super Partners emerge organically.

Super Partners not only embody the core philosophy of ONO, they lead large groups of people, educate Community Partners, solve problems in their group (they will create an ONO group on some social platform), and are very influential. They don’t solve interpersonal problems through violent means or coercion. Super Partners are transparent, and they are also capable of guiding others in a compassionate manner. But Super Partners are also firm, able to make decisions quickly and are not afraid of confronting people who have bad intentions for the ONO ecosystem.
They solve problems quickly and efficiently, clearly stating why they took certain actions. They are trustworthy, and people rely on them for this exact reason. When Super Partners make a mistake, they own up immediately. For this reason, the ONO social network is vastly different from the existing networks, because ONO reflects the social fabric of the real world, instead of just having a bunch of strangers all lumped together, confused and without help from others.

People are asking:

“How will censorship and abuse of power be mitigated in ONO?”

All Super Partners can be voted in or voted out. If a Super Partner is not doing a good job, and is not acting in the best interests of the community, people can vote the Super Partner out. Each person gets one vote. So, if someone is unfairly censoring some topic that does not warrant that action, word will spread fast, and that Super Partner will be removed by voting. The first generation Super Partners will be selected by Ke Xu, the CEO and Founder of ONO. Thereafter, they will be voted in or out by the community.

If what we write here is resonating with you, and you think you’re ready to learn more and start volunteering, join our English Telegram channel and introduce yourself. Get acquainted with the people there and begin the process of becoming a Super Partner.

Because ONO is decentralized, there will be no call center staffed by minimum wage workers. ONO belongs to everyone, and so everyone can decide how much or how little they want to contribute to its development. We will need everyone’s efforts, no matter how little or large a commitment you can make.
ONO knows that sometimes decentralization leads to chaos, confusion and a poor user experience, especially for those who are not familiar with blockchain technology. That’s why a new system was created in ONO. ONO’s core values revolve around people. In ONO, people come first. Everything else is secondary.
If you feel inspired by these ideas, please join our Telegram group, where a lot of ONO Volunteers are ready to help you understand more. We are here for you, and many of our ONO Chinese friends are helping us in Telegram, too.
Stay tuned for upcoming developments and follow us on Twitter, Steemit and here to get informed. We will be publishing a demo of the ONO dApp soon, so watch for it! Also, we have some big things planned that are fun for people. Stay tuned. Join us on Telegram!

Thank you,

ONO Team
