Open Mic Week 8 - Original Ukulele Song - Nightwalking

This one is really old but I never recorded it. I made it when I played ukulele just for few weeks. And I don't even remember how I played it, what chords I had, how was it supposed to be sang. .. All I had was lyrics. So I kind of re-created it but I still kept it very simple with the basic structure.

It's a song about going for a walk during the night to be alone and deal with your emotions. It was inspired by a friendship I had at that time in which we used to go for a nightwalk quite often to have some nice conversations.

Lyrics

Like a wind in the middle of the night;
I am breezing through this cold dark night
The city now is shinning with its calming flow;
The night is young, don't worry, let it go

Chorus:
The city's dark,full of unknown
All you want - is to walk alone;
Think about life, and what you've done;
All the thoughts - are making you run;

The sound of nothing is overtaking your ears;
no one's around so you burst into tears;
the stone is falling down from your heart;
the pain is going away part after part;

Chorus

The sky is dark, but you can see the light;
the limitlessness is filling you with fright;
all the worries that you had feel so small;
The cup is filled half-way through and now you stand tall;

Chorus:

I encourage you to take part in OpenMic, for me it helps a lot with being less shy about my creation, even though I can't sing :D.
