Está historia el autor la relacionó con el nacimiento del niño Jesús. La virgen escondiendo al niño del rey Herodes, y el regalo de los Reyes Magos: La Sabana le ofrece el reverdecer, los arroyitos todos les llevan flores con el amanecer, y los pericos y el gavilán también que le llevan frutas criollas al caney.
