Choosing what song to record for #openmic is always a dilemma. :) As this is Easter weekend, we decided that we are going to the most popular hymn 'Amazing Grace'. This is one song that people across the world from every generation knows.
Through the years, there are a lot of different rendition of this song. My most favorite is by Chris Tomlin. He added a section in between the stanzas which is known as 'My Chains Are Gone'. It is a little different from the original version in terms of the time signature. The original version was written in 1779 by John Newton.
This song has always brought warmth to my heart and I hope it does to yours too. Blessed Easter everyone!
