Hello Steemit! This is my first open mic entry, but it will most likely be my most personal. My grandfather (aka PopPop) passed away recently at the age of 97 (almost 98) years old. He was a cheerful, level-headed and inventive man who had a wealth of great stories. I know he's at peace now and left a mark on his 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 15 (and counting) great-grandchildren. This original song called Waves in a Place is about the shortness of life and the acceptance of death. I played the song at his funeral. Anyway, here is my recording and I left a few pictures after it.
