As one of the 5 judges, and as an original artist also, I aim to represent the best original artists in this contest from our wonderful Steemit community. I am keeping my ears open for cover artists as well, don't worry but creating an original song is indeed impressive, especially if executed and performed well. This week had many many gems and wonderful music to heal the soul and move the hearts, and there were still many talented performers who entered, so forgive me if I didn't list you, I definitely heard everyone's entries. 1. @matisotoaguilar’s ”Mogati - Calor - Warmth” Original Song
You two presented a wonderfully powerful duo. Your musical chemistry was super on point and the energies intertwined seamlessly with how well you both performed together in sync rhythmically. I was captivated from the beginning all the way to the end and I was vibing to the cultural essence that permeated through the music. By the way I loved how serious @gokulramdas was in the beginning and then lightened up and became more immersed in the song as you both progressed forward. Thank you for your amazing entry. 2. @pechichemena's "Dicen" Original Song
This original song was straight from the depths of your heart. Your soft approach to how you presented this gem worked well with the welcoming smooth vibes you cascaded the audience with. This is such an easy going flowing song that connects with many emotions. The chord changes along with your harmonic vocals really made this a pure joy to listen to and I repeated this several times. Definitely one for the playlist. Thank you for your memorable entry.

3. @lyndsaybowes's "Kathy" Original Song
I'm really happy you took on this experiment with turning such poetry into a catchy, melodic and heavily moving song. This reminds me of so many rough memories, both good, sad and bad intertwined with saying farewell and disconnecting from old faces and personalities who are just a distant glimpse of the far back past. This may be an extremely brand new song and I know that feeling that you just want to share with the world the song as song as you finished mapping out the last few notes for completion. You performed this so well with your giving heart, bringing life to these lyrics and I felt every note you sang. Truly a great entry, you earned your place on my list for sure.

4. @tarotbyfergus's "Sweet Gina" Original Song
It's a beautiful thing to witness you grow so much in this competition. You truly put everything on the line and you gave it your all. Your singing and playing were full of energy and realness. When you put so much passion into your performances, your conviction fused with your musical skills easily separates you from your competition. You shared all your emotions and created a strong original song that speaks to many of us who have had a broken heart before. All this came from a bottle of rum and 3 days of sleep deprivation? What a way to turn it all around into something creatively enjoyable, thanks for this entry. Look forward to your next one.

5. @introspectiva’s ”Tonada De Luna Llena” By Simon Diaz Cover Song
You both had so much fun with this entry. I love your energy and enthusiasm and the happiness you both radiate while performing music is so evident and contagious, which the best effect to have on your listening audience. You both have nice singing voices and this was a great cover choice. This indeed does have an enchanting vibe to it, making it hard not to bob your head or dance to. This was a sweet duo from you two, and I hope you continue to enter into the Steemit Open Mic Contest. You are quite talented.
