A couple of days ago my favourite place to help our neighbours, Highjinx put out a call for some specific groceries in demand right now. I set aside $30 of our grocery budget and grabbed some stuff to bring down. They recieve no government funding, donations from the community keep the place stocked.

I picked up things from the list that were on sale. I was able to bring 3 bags of sugar, 5 bunches of bananas, TP, strawberries and tea. It wasn't much, it added up quick. I wish I could do more....

Love the Free Stuff table outside. Today it is free books and canned food!

There was a full house there today. So many neighbours warming up and stocking up on enough fresh food to last them the weekend. Treats like maple syrup and fresh broccoli were handed out to delighted recipients. The conversation and friendship is happy and positive....I loved being there today. I left full of hope and appreciation. I am humbled by the work they do as well as the stregth of neighbours who go there.
