PAY IT FORWARD

8y1yaqg3kr.jpg

If you haven't watched the movie, you probably are well acquainted with the principle to #payitforward. Although in general (at least so the movie says) you perform your beneficial deed to someone unable to reciprocate. Here on Steemit, however, it is most certainly mutually beneficially to get involved in this amazing initiative created by @thedarkhorse. It is a community concern to show appreciation and support of the many that don't get nearly the recognition they deserve for quality content. (Those with a reputation score of 50 or under, although @pifc has moved the cap level to 55 this week).

If you haven't done so already please; support @thedarkhorse, and @pifc as well as some of the really generous sponsors and judges. Personally @wolfhart and @lynncoyle1 have really impressed me with their selfless interest (and humour). I have also found consistent support from @energyaddict22. At the end of this post I'll explain how but for now these are the two steemians that really stood out this week, Drumroll.....

@sir-thrive/my-edc-is-not-better-than-yours

@sir-thrive is a brand new steemian who has hit the ground running. He calls himself a prepper. While that word conjures up doomsday gloomsday apocryphal pictures, let's face it being prepared is something we all require to function in our day to day lives. I find @sir-thrive very balanced, with a great sense of humour. Which you'll quickly see as you follow him.

He says in his recent post "Like any other structured survival kit, it sparks fierce debates among preppers and survivalists. The largest debates seem to be over what purpose the EDC serves and what contents should be included. Some argue that EDC kits are for survival purposes. That we carry them to aid in a survival situation. Others argue that they are, simply, the tools and items you choose to help get you through your day. So, I might as well throw my opinion in the hat."

@janton/chuck-wagon-grub-on-the-cattle-drives

My second entry is probably no stranger to many on Steemit. He is a BIG commenter! And what a geniune guy. I feel @janton needs more recognition than he currently receives. You will quickly see that he puts in far more than he gets out. At the moment his posts take you back to the "wild, wild west". Although I am South African this era has always fascinated me. I am really enjoying following this cowboy. @janton has done a lot of research and his posts contain some really old photos as well as old recipes and quirky expressions (which possibly Americans will get better than I do!)
