I like to stay with the travel theme, but, it is very difficult to find a good one with low enough rep - most good travel blogs are by those over 55 rep, it seems. Also, there are many using the travel tag and photography and photography is really the main theme - there is not much writing or description of the photographs.

After looking through many blogs with travel, I am so glad to find a good one!

Local Living Trip in Vietnam 10 days

Day 8: Tam Coc - Cat Ba National Park (150km)

Take an early departure to Hai Phong province. Upon your arrival, a speedboat will take you to Cat Ba Island. To be warmly welcomed by a local host at their house where you will spend this night here, you will have lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit Cat Ba National Park, Military Hospital cave and finish the day with a sunset view of the sea from Cannon fort in the center of Cat Ba town.

Experiential Traveling: Avoiding the Carnival Cruise

I try my best to adhere to this philosophy in my personal travels and believe that it has yielded life-changing experiences. Specifically my time in South Africa, where I spent six months, I began to feel as if I were a member of the community (even if it wasn't felt by my ZA peers). I traveled with locals, lived with locals, and learned with locals in an attempt to learn by doing, not by reading or seeing a landmark. Writing this post has bubbled up feelings of nostalgia, so I'd like to share a few of my pictures. I think these pictures highlight some (definitely not all) of the vibrancy of this naturally spectacular nation.
