The blockchain revolution and the aspects of our society it is impacting will define the next generation. I was drawn to Steemit by cryptocurrency and this is the area that I spend most of my reading time in but it is not the topic that most inspires. The home that Steemit is creating for artists and the economic opportunity it holds for people in developing countries is the exciting part of all this. After all what good is money if the world we live in is not focused on alleviating suffering and increasing peace! The Steemit bloggers selected for this post display this spirit!
@bafspotlight is a Nigerian who practices what he preaches. In only three months he has made 261 (mostly) quality posts and is earning money by INSPIRING others to do the same! @bafspotlight is the Nigerian Tony Robbins and is leading by example! If @bafspotlight can make it happen why can't you no matter where you are from and what limitations the world has placed on you! Not everything about the modern connected world is perfect but when we see barriers to freedom of speech coming down and income opportunities going up for people living in places where a few dollars per day can make all the difference in the world then praise it! When asked how he managed to have such great business success Jimmy Buffett said that in his early days he took a job writing for Billboard magazine and this taught him that industry was designed to take advantage of the artists. He made his own path that eliminated many of the gold diggers that could suck his creative spirit and wallet dry. Traditional social media disrupted the art world offering avenues for artists to be discovered but blockchain is the next step. Steemit puts both the platform and the wallet in the hands of the artist and blesses the world with their works everyday. I love that I can experience art and at the same time give back to these creative people with the click of a button! @arosebunch is a photographer that only joined Steemit this month. We don't learn much about who @pellucidity is from their blog but in their "introduce yourself" post we know this is a person with passion and a desire to have the opportunities provided to an artist with the means to buy good equipment.
