I was #blessed to sit in the room to listen to these sermons live. They touched my life and awakened my spirit so I wanted to share them here with some notes and thoughts.

What it take for you to be truly happy?

What would it take for you to feel truly blessed (as we say in our Christian speak)?

Few of us know how to get there. Few of us know what it takes.

What is the #blessed for you. Promotions? Great Parking Spots? Do you believe God is only on your side when things are going your way?

Jesus redefines what blessing looks like. He redefines what happiness is and where it comes from. In the famous "The Sermon On The Mount" redefines for us where our joy should come from and what we should be tagging with - #blessed.

Blessed are...

He didn't just give us a bumper stickers. He tells us what to do with these thoughts. What should this look like in our lives?

My Thoughts

If my life isn't comfortable it's easy to say "I'm not happy". This message challenges me to question not am I comfortable, but is my soul content? In my world where there is so much available, there are so many options to have more, get more so that my comfort is secured... it's tough to look beyond those things to what truly makes us happy.

Our true blessing is not attached to what we can find here on Earth. True blessings and happiness is tied to what God has done for us and what lies ahead for us, NOT in our current circumstances. In those times when I'm tempted to say "If only I could _____ I'd be happy" I need to remind myself in prayer that Jesus didn't come here to give us great and comfortable circumstances. My greatest joy will be found when I follow Jesus, love people, share life with others.

May I never find myself using Jesus in my life as a means to an end. My circumstances are not the definition of who Jesus is. Jesus came to deliver me from all of this to something greater. I pray that I find great Joy in Jesus in such a way that I can be a light to those around me.
