"Little things, like making your bed, set you up for success. One small accomplishment early in the day can lead to multiple accomplishments throughout the day. Plus, the person who does the little things right can probably be trusted with the bigger things in life.
If that last part sounds familiar, it’s probably because Jesus said the same thing more than 2,000 years ago. After telling His disciples a parable about a shrewd business manager, Jesus said, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much” (Luke 16:10 NIV). Of course, the opposite is also true: If you can’t trust someone with the little things, you’ll never trust them with anything bigger." ~ Stewardship Team
It's the Little things that can make your life Rich :)
As seen in the quote above, something as simple as making your bed in the morning gives you the sense of accomplishment. They may seem small but they can also define your character or make big life changes in your or someone else life.
Sometimes it can be small of acts of kindness, like giving someone a simple comfort when they needed it, or just a smile to make someone feel they are noticed, can maybe ease a troubled mind who has been working on their suicide letter.
Men think that their partners only want this big expensive bouquet of roses, but a simple flower picked just for her will say she was on your mind and you made the effort to show affection.
The small choices you make in life may seem insignificant to you but can have a huge impact on someone else's life. Like giving the grumpy gentleman who walked passed you a friendly good morning smile can prevent him from arguing with someone to blow of steam.
Say I love you so your loved ones know you are loved
Say Thank you so that the other person can feel their actions are being rewarded
Compliment so that the other person can feel appreciated.
Take your loved ones out for a simple walk or an ice cream, they know your time is limited as you may work long hours, the effort goes a long way to spend that little time with you can leave a great memory instead of doing nothing.
Take that few minutes to listen to your child to make them feel wanted and not rejected. The same goes for your loved ones. Life can change in the blink of an eye, take some control to change it for the better :)
There are so many examples around this I really don't know how to put this all together. This post is just actually me trying to remind everyone that the small things matter, we get so busy and caught up with our own lives and so many are in their own little bubble, they don't realize what their actions are doing to the people or the world around them. You don't have to make a big gesture to change something....
"Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, the actions of individuals can have far-reaching effects." – Dalai Lama
Here is a really great Example that will make you smile or even giggle just a bit :)
