The carnival is a childhood dream. (video)

Is it possible to bottle lightning?
To capture the intense joy of being young and at the county fair?

That's what I did this summer for the folks in Marin County's Cultural Affairs department.
So if you're a child at heart and you love fairs and fireworks, here's a very short video for you.
Fun on the Midway

I couldn't have done it alone. Here I am with my apprentice Will backing me up behind me.

I used a DJI Inspire/X5R on this shoot and my buddy Jamie Clay was there too, helping with the drone shots to make sure that we stayed legal (over the water, not over people). When a shoot is this critical we work together as a 2-man team, with me operating the camera and Jamie flying the bird.

All video was shot in Raw... the aerials in UHD/4k and the terrestrial footage with
the Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4.6k (at 4.6k resolution).
The piece was edited in Final Cut Pro X and colored in DaVinci Resolve.
