Krui Pade

A traditional technique for separating paddy seeds containing rice and does not contain. Techniques that rely on natural aids from the wind. Usually done by women, we call this work are krui pade.

Paddy that contains rice has a weight, while paddy that does not contain is easily blown by the wind because it has no weight or light load.

The wind will separate the both when poured from the pouring container. The pouring used is situek (Acehnese) that is the midrib of dried areca palm leaves.
