Quarry Times

Earlier this week I went over to hang out with @aweber and play FIFA, but before we played we walked over an out-of-use and overgrown bridge near his house and came upon this giant quarry area. We got there right at sunset and were treated to some absolutely gorgeous pastel colors in the sky and on the water. Because of all the bare dirt and man-made hills around the water it felt like we had walked into another part of the world, it was kind of strange! There was also this funky pump sort of thing in the water that looked kind of creepy and like it might be a long-lost relative of the Loch Ness Monster. For some reason the terrain and area reminded me of the the old movie Waterworld.

Here are a couple pictures from the evening.

Also, thinking of quarries reminded me of my good friend Alex's old band named Quarry Times (yes, I stole the name for the title of this post). Here's a song of his for your viewing pleasure if you're interested:

P.S. @aweber beat me in FIFA and it was dumb just in case you were wondering. We always bet SBD on our games and it's about time for me to win some back.
