I've always been fond of taking pictures, ever since I was young I've been snapping pictures be it on an old disposable camera, a digital camera or my phone.

There is something about capturing a moment forever in one click that ignites a passion in me and I strive for more.

Photographing People

I'm not one for taking selfies or taking pictures of my friends, my girlfriend or my family. I don't know why, there is something I just don't like about having my picture taken.
So you'll very rarely ever see picture of me on here but I do love taking pictures of crowds.
Capturing that moment of a hectic busy street, people going about their daily business.
It's capturing a true moment in life and not just one persons life but many. So many stories, emotions and history's in one single picture.

Buildings

Photographing buildings is another aspect of photography I really enjoy.
The older and the more history the building has the better.
Have you ever visited an am old building of great historical importance and put your hand against the blocks of that building and felt the history, almost been transported back to that time just through feel.
That's what I like to capture in a photograph, so you can imagine the people, the battle, the historical importance just by looking at that photograph.

Landscapes

Pictures of scenery are one of my favourites but also such a hard thing to photograph.
To be able to get a sense of scale and depth that only your eyes can see is very very hard.
But when you do take that one picture, that captures everything I said above the result is a picture that transports you straight to that destination.

Objects

I don't like taking pictures of everyday objects, it reminds me of advertisement and photography being an actual 9-5 job and I don't like anything that reminds me of work.
However I do love car photography. Maybe it's my love of cars behind it or maybe car photography can also be seen as an art.
Taking the perfect angle that makes the car in question look so desirable.
I've only ever taken photography like this recently and it's something I will be doing more of.

Sunsets and Sun Rises

Sunsets and sun rises are one of my favourite things to photograph.
The colours that are created at these times are nothing short of spectacular. These times of the day are when the world shows off its true beauty. The colours in the sky, clouds soaking up hues of orange, pink and purple, the long shadows of trees and objects being cast across the ground.
I don't think one person can say they don't like a sunset.

So back to the initial question.
Will Steemit make me a professional photographer?
Yes....well hopefully.
It's a passion for me and one I want to follow professionally. Hopefully Steemit is going to help me achieve that dream through funding a proper camera and a professional photography course so I can create even better more professional photographs.

Thank you for reading.
