Biawak (Varanidae) one of the largest lizards in the world. This large lizard is in Indonesia and the rest is found in Asia, America, Australia and Africa. In Indonesia there are two types of large lizards, one called Komodo dragons only exist on the island of Komodo and another called Biawak.
The second type exists throughout Indonesia. Life of Biawak on the banks of rivers, lakes, beaches, mangrove forests, swamps and waterways. Biawak are often found in the city usually the animal is looking for food in the sewerage of household waste.
Biawak prey on various insects, crabs or yuyu, various types of frogs, fish, lizards, birds, as well as small mammals such as rats and cerages. Biawak clever climb trees. In mangrove forests, Biawak often steal eggs or prey on birds. Biawak also eat carcasses, turtle eggs, turtles or crocodiles.
