About the photo

On our way back from Lofoten Islands as soon as we got on a ferry, the weather changed from cloudy and rainy to sunny. You can see the clouds on the horizon. That is what we left on the islands. Almost all the way back I was outside staring around at the vivid blue sky and the islands on our way. The light was beautiful; it perfectly revealed the forms of the mountains. I waited for something to add on the foreground, and this ferry heading to the islands did the job.

About the place

(wikipedia)

Lofoten is an archipelago and a traditional district in the county of Nordland, Norway. Lofoten is known for a distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands. Though lying within the Arctic Circle, the archipelago experiences one of the world's largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude.
