Monument Valley -Black and White Film Shots

When I was on a USA road trip 10 years ago I wanted to capture some images in the old-fashioned way like the photographers hundred years ago. So I used a medium format camera with Black-and-White films. I developed these films in my laboratory and enlarged the pictures on baryt paper. Baryt Paper is the paper which was used in the past before modern photo paper was invented and is the most durable and longliving photo paper which exists. It will hold for at least a hundred years. It is much more difficult to use this kind of paper in the lab but is has a unique feeling and also the paper is much thicker than the normal modern photo paper.

The perfect motive for these kind of old-fashioned shots is Monument Valley which everybody knows from a lot of old western movies.

The images you see were made without the use of a computer or photoshop. I only scanned the finished prints. So the images are not perfect but I like them because I made everything with my bare hands and it took me hours in the lab from the undeveloped film to the finished and dry prints.

So what do you think of it?
