After our last dive with the Manta rays it was time to make a 5 hour crossing to the next dive site in Rasdhoo near Ari Atoll. It is a bit west from our previous location. Here on the map you can see we were sailing from point 2 to 3.
It's an easy journey, a couple people have taken some sea sickness pills and have gone down for a nap, but how can you sleep through this view? Its a glorious day and the seas are calm.
The boat is calm too, it seems I'm the only one on deck at the moment. The calm is soon shattered though as we prepare for the next dive .
This dive happens a little later in the day than we normally dive due to the time the crossing took to get to Rasdhoo. The wait is worth it though as we swim along the reef wall to get to our viewing point.
At the top of the reef wall at a section of reef near some cross currents we have the best chance to see some sharks come in from the blue, and boy did we ever.
These guys were not shy, and a few times they swam around rather aggressively. To be honest I thought they just liked to show off a bit and remind everyone what their territory is. They were majestic as hell.
One of the nice things about this late afternoon dive, we surfaced right at sunset and coming up you were treated to a pretty idyllic view. I really did feel like I was in paradise at that point. All that was needed to complete the picture was dinner... and that was waiting for us when we got back to the boat.
