The goal of this post is to show some photos shoted in the presence of a lot of light using the teleconverter. With a Canon EOS-1D Mark II and the Canon 70-200 mm lens, I used a Sigma AF 2X EX DG Tele Converter. The Tele Converter doubled the focal length (from 70-200 mm to 140-400 mm) causing the loss of quality and making it the lens from f/2.8 to f/5.6.
The loss of quality is reduced using Canon Tele Converter or 1.4X Tele Converter (instead of 2X). In general, a focal length improvement causes a worsening of other aspects. It is always necessary to evaluate whether it is worth it ;) My photos are posted with low resolution (max 900x600 px) on a web journal and the compromise is acceptable.
