📷🌇Photos & Thoughts on the Streets - Patience is My Best Friend On The Street

Sit, wait and watch the scenes.

I learned from the practice photographing on the street that the street photographer should be a person who has to continually seek harmonization with the environment he is inserted. It is as if he walks on the street with his backpack and camera in his hands added another item as his working tool which is in a figurative sense: A "satellite in the head" or to have full knowledge of where he walks, the reality that he lives.

Rainy Days

It's no use walking madly through the streets, sweating, running after a striking image when you work as a street photographer. We have to stop, look around, look up, look down. We have to stay in this same place 10, 15,20 minutes just looking at the scenes that happen around us and if there arises in our eyes one that calls us attention, click.

Waiting at the bus station

Photography is first and foremost a great exercise of patience. Many times I returned home frustrated that I could not photograph the scenes I wanted on the street, but at the same time I was aware that it was my fault for not following the exercise I mentioned above.

Underestimating or acting arrogant wanting to "trample" the steps or procedures, is never a good alternative in this art. Beyond creativity and vision, patience is also one of the most important elements that we have to portray the reality we see through our lens.

Once again it was a pleasure to expose to you my thoughts and reflections 🙏

I decided to start to qualify my posts where I put photos and thoughts or reflections like "Photos & Thoughts on the Streets".
