I guess, how the front yard of a house can tell about the inhabitants of the house. The old people in our village do not like to see the long grass in the front of the house. It was a sign of lazy, according to them.
They, once, had a tradition of planting fruit trees in their front yard such as sapodilla trees, mango, guava, grapefruit, yellow coconut and so on, so we did not have to buy snacks outside the home. That's probably one of their ways to save on household spending.
All the trees are planted neatly and nicely, according to the value of estitics in their perspective. The trees also provide shade and coolness, and that is all we need when the sun is shining and dry.
