We've had a bit of a weird sleeping schedule around here lately and it's made it so we've been up for the setting of the moon and the subsequent rising of the sun. This sort of scene is only there for a few minutes each night and disappears quickly and we had the knack of waking up for a different reason just before we took these pictures when we noticed the moon.

These were taken with John's Nikon D5500. early in the morning on Halloween.
