It's been a relatively quiet day up here, especially compared to the last few days. I spoke to my landlord today about a separate matter and asked him why there was the presence there was. He basically explained they were trying to figure us out and thought we might not have permission to be there but our landlord assured them we are totally fine which diffused much of the tension immediately.

I asked him why they didn't just ask us and he basically explained they didn't know how, which I get. He seemed a little concerned that they were on the property and for how long but seems to think that should be the last of it.

So we resume our lives up here on the mountain, catching up on things neglected and getting ready to start new things, like new vegetable gardens. Stay tuned!
