So I walked into Verde Pistache (Verde Vegan's co-owned co-op featuring organic products of all kinds as well as local ones) recently to notice a good part of the store is currently devoted to this new and honestly awesome brand Hecho en Acapulco. For those who aren't aware, just like MADE IN USA is big in the states Hecho en Mexico is big here and honestly I think it suits Mexico better because this is still very much a country of producers.
At Verde Pistache you can find things ranging from shirts to hats to pins all themed in this cool brand. There are these soaps made by a local artisan soap maker that they've partnered with to help spread the brand as well as his product. It's a way to remind people quality stuff is made here in Acapulco.
They make these AWESOME videos to advertise the brand and the products featured, like one for this soap maker that was SO good. Click soap maker to see it, worth the watch. The idea is to show Acapulco and it's hardworking people in the light it deserves. The soap above was coconut vanilla and it smells SO good.
The designs on the shirts and pins all come from a local designer, who if I remember correctly is one of the main pioneers of this brand. I love the idea and plan on putting some Hecho en Acapulco's on my glass pieces at the very least, so stay tuned for possible partnerships there!
