Adventures Around Acapulco: Parque Papagayo Massive Park Photo Tour 6

So this thing is easily one of my favorite parts of the trip to this park. I've seen photos of these things but never in real life and never one this cool looking. It's called a temazcal and it's been used by Mexicans long before the Spaniards ever arrived here for therapeutic purposes.

Sometime, hopefully very soon, I intend to try out one of these ceremonies. In this post online I was reading about the ceremony, it's more like a doctor visit in some ways and less like some religious or spiritual thing.

It's next to this creepy pyramid that seems to be funded by the government and NASA according to it's sign. Not sure the purpose but it seems overbuilt and under used.

Creepy building, awesome Mexican sweat bath house, awesome location. I wonder what, if anything, that Casa de la Terra is used for.
