We had a near crisis today. Last night there was a dragonfly stuck in the house, namely the kitchen. Just before I went to bed I got some very good close up shots of it, so good that I scrolled through them on the screen on the camera before shutting it off and going to bed. This morning, John took some photos of this moth, although he didn't get up close and personal like I did for the shots in this post. The moths here are just as beautiful as the butterflies often enough, they're just a bit more annoying cause they love my kitchen.
Anyway, the card on the camera malfunctioned in a way that made it seem like at first the whole camera was toast. We decided to buy a new card and it worked, good thing because we didn't want to have to spend a lot on a new camera.
This moth has a 3 inch wingspan easy, probably more, as a heads up.
I also caught some shots of Rebel, seemingly interested in something under the table.
So he got down there and really figured it out. There was nothing.
He was thorough, but still came out with nothing, to the sound of a pretzel bag crinkling.
In the background you can see a tequila dog, coming out having heard the same sound and the click of Rebel's feet
Standing at attention, ready to munch.
