Hello Steemians!
I spent the afternoon out in the beautiful city of Sydney with a group of friends. We met at The Rocks, a historical district located on the south side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
We had perfect weather and I don't think I could have asked for a more clearer day. There were plenty of people about which made for this candid shot of the famous Sydney Opera House.
The design of this iconic building really does remind you of a ship's sails.
Being so close to the water safety is a high priority for Sydney. The lifesaving rings that hang by the boardwalk make for a perfect shot that sums up Sydney's lifestyle and weather.
The bold color of the lifesaving ring stands out against the blue backdrop.
After walking around for a little while coffee was high on the agenda. We find a sleepy street market in the middle of The Rocks area.
I enjoy photographing little signs like these.
Stalls were offering a broad range of baked goods, oils, teas, gifts and most importantly coffee!
A scrumptious selection of scrolls waiting for a hungry tourist.
There were plenty of places to eat but none of us were that hingry, we just wanted to keep exploring what Sydney had to offer.
By now the sun was at its peak and families were out and about enjoying the day.
I spotted this father and son spending some quality time balancing on the ledge.
Looking up I noticed the woven metal on the underside of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I think it made for a great abstract shot. What do you think?
A few hours had passed and by now I was feeling a bit tired. I decided to head back to the car and spotted these skinks baking in the sun.
I'm Leigh, from Sydney Australia and through @steemit I'm seeing what its like to explore @myday. Not in any particular order, or particular time frame but just parts of @myday through my eyes and sometimes the cameras lens.
All photographs appearing in this post were captured by me.
