The heart and the reason

The eternal struggle between the heart and the reason. People say that, when the head is not right, the body will be the one to pay the bill. And those that say that, having no head, you shall have legs instead (this one is meant for the distracted that forget everything). Or, even, that the heart has reasons that the reason knows nothing about.

All those sayings meaning that, when the emotions or the senses command the reason, usually the heart will be under pressure, in a way that can lead either to extreme joy or grief. People are usually labeled as rational vs. emotional. The former are, by definition, more cerebral, cautious and usually plan carefully their life or parts of it. The latter are usually more dreamy and tend to act more impulsively, often without measuring the full extent of the consequences.

From thinking to acting the distance is only a step, they follow the heart, cry while watching movies, even if it's Bambi, get emotional with little things, like the blossoming of a flower or the rain falling on the roof. I am no expert in human nature, this is just my opinion, not scientifically based, about the subject.

Ultimately there is no rule without exception. I am more a heart that a reason person, I always say that don’t worry by anticipation and I always venture myself, sometimes in the last minute, in situations that others plan well in advance. I don’t regret being this way, not even a little bit.
So, long live the human nature, long live diversity!
