This coot (Fulica atra), meerkoet in Dutch, wasn't as shy as its brethren and came to take a look at what I was up to:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/200s
It seems to me no lens is ever long enoug to take photos of wild birds, but this time, things worked out OK at only 300mm.
