These are the damselflies I saw on my last walk in the Armenveen in The Netherlands a few days ago.
There are a great many of them about right now, but I think I didn't see all species in this one walk; some are more camera-shy than others.
The large red damselfly (Pyrrhosoma nymphula), vuurjuffer in Dutch:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 200mm, ISO200, f8, 1/200s
The small red damselfly (Ceriagrion tenellum), koraaljuffer in Dutch:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f8, 1/125s
And now some blue ones. These are harder to identify, and it is easy to make a mistake.
The azure damselfly (Coenagrion puella), azuurwaterjuffer in Dutch:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 110mm, ISO160, f8, 1/200s
Two unidentified ones:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f8, 1/250s
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f8, 1/250s
These two look like they are not on speaking terms:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f8, 1/200s
That's it for now, thanks for watching!
