The other day, I went for a walk in the peat bog with high hopes of finding a particular rare species of dragonfly. I studied what it looks like, what its habitat is, what its habits are, and all that.
Having found the right place, I sat down on the moss and within five minutes, a beautiful but totally different dragonfly landed next to me, this downy emerald (Cordulia aenea), the first one I have ever seen in this specific peat bog.
It wasn't the first time things worked out like this; maybe I should give up looking and just see what happens.

Nice-looking creature, isn't it? In the shade, it is a deep, dark green, but in the sun, many colours appear.
It's amazing that it once emerged from this, its previous persona, that crawled up out of the murky water:
