Bulgarian traditions- Do you remember your first school day ? + video

Hello steemit i wont to show you some more things about Bulgaria and explain you about Bulgarian culture.

One of the most important days in our calendar is 15 September - The first school day. Every year thousands of kids feel exited and scared at this date, and so many parents realize their kids are growing up.

I will explain you how we celebrate the first day. This year my kids start at new school. For them is really difficult, new place , new kids, new teachers, no friends. From other side for me is also not easy. To prepare a kid for school is a lot of work. First we need to start from clothes. There is so many options - from djeans to suit wit a tie. We need to buy a bunch of notebooks, pencils, backpack and not on last place a flower for the teacher. The last thing caused me 2 hours in a flower shop ( no I do not joke).

The start of the program is usual with the first ring of the school bell and bring out the school flag. So many people wish lucky and success of the kids like mayors and big politicians. Some famous people do a short speech and a church officer do a public prayer for good new year.

After this is coming the funny part with some songs and typical Bulgarian dance .I recorded one for you all.

Traditional we released some pigeons - for free the mind of the kids. The smaller one, have balloons and of the end of the program they put them in the sky as a wish for height results in school .

My sister daughter is first grade at scool this year . Was so nice to see the smile and the funn time she had .

On the end of the program the director of the school raises the national flag and invites the kids in the school wit a traditional cake with honey.

September 15, the first day of school is for decades ahead in populariti of the most national holidays. I personal enjoy every moment. Traditions change every year but hope this one will be preserved .

Stay positive  and many smiles !!!
