On a scale of beauty from 1 to 10, Austria is about a 15.
I did a post a couple of months ago entitled: I'm not saying God is Austrian, but I think I've found paradise there. That was about one of my most favorite places, and interestingly today's post is about a place that is directly on the other side of the same mountain. The mountain is beautiful from both sides, but this view, looking towards the South East, is incredible.
You'll notice I couldn't stop photographing it. There's another reason beyond the beauty that you'll see so many photos of the mountain -- Friday the 13th. I was totally into photographing, the little village of less that 2000 people was devoid of people, the weather was perfect, what more could you ask for? The answer, an extra camera akku -- yep, before I really got going my akku left me hanging.

Ich habe vor ein paar Monaten einen Artikel mit dem Titel gepostet: Ich behaupte nicht, dass Gott Österreicher sei, aber ich glaube, daß ich dort das Paradies gefunden habe. Es ging um einer meiner Lieblingsplätze, und interessanterweise ist der heutige Beitrag über einen Ort, der direkt auf der anderen Seite desselben Berges liegt. Der Berg ist von beiden Seiten schön, aber diese Aussicht in Richtung Südosten ist unglaublich schön.
Du wirst feststellen, dass ich nicht aufhören konnte, ihn zu fotografieren. Außer der Schönheit des Berges, gab es noch einen Grund: Freitag, den 13. Ich war voll dabei und habe mit Begeisterung fotografiert. Das kleine Dorf von weniger als 2000 Personen war menschenleer, das Wetter war perfekt, was konnte man sonst wollen? Die Antwort, ein zusätzlicher Kameraakku - ja , bevor ich wirklich richtig angefangen habe, ging mein Akku aus. 
Fall is a wonderful time for me. If you're a tourist, booking a trip to Austria in mid October is pretty risky in terms of weather. But this is only a short scenic drive for me, so when the autumn weather is right, I can visit spots that are packed with tourists during the summer months. 
Der Herbst ist eine wundervolle Zeit für mich. Wenn man ein Tourist ist, ist es wegen des Wetters recht riskant eine Reise nach Österreich Mitte Oktober zu buchen. Aber für mich ist dies nur eine kurze Fahrt. Also wenn das Herbstwetter stimmt, kann ich Orte besuchen, die in den Sommermonaten voller Touristen sind.
BTW, on the other side of the mountain it is the state of Tirol. Here we are just over the border and in the state of Salzburg. 
Übrigens auf der anderen Seite des Berges ist Tirol, hier befinden wir uns im Salzburger Land. 
It was surreal to encounter this :-)
In Österreich erlebt man Surrealismus :-)
