Four seasons

Today i want to show you a very special place.
This series was created over the course of more than one year and shows this place in different seasons.
I come back so often because i simply love the connection to nature and to get out of my everyday life.
The location of this gem is hidden in the austrian woods(carinthia, Liebenfels), located at a water adventure track which spans over 10km and has tons of waterfalls.
But the one in the photo is my favorite.

Those photos are longtime exposures, i've shot them with tripod and a neutral density filter.
So all photos have exposure times longer than 15 seconds, some even a minute.
The effect you get by recording such a long timeframe is that water becomes smooth and gets a very special look.
Another factor is that i really enjoy slowing down my photography.
I often sit down when i reach this spot and just watch the scene for 30minutes and think about my composition before i start taking photos.
I like to see photography as my own way of zen or meditation.
It really helps me slowing down, be open for everything that happens around me and enjoy life.

Camera equipment used for those shots:
Panasonic GF1, Tripod, ND3.0 Filter, Remote trigger
