Lake Wakatipu, New Zealand takes approximately two hours to drive from one end to the other. As you drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy the road follows the lake as you go north.
There are some absolutely amazing views along the drive and as usual when I drive to Glenorchy often to go plein air painting, I have my camera with me and stop to get some photos.
About halfway between Queenstown and Glenorchy is this amazing view.
The lake can look so blue depending on the weather conditions, on this particular summers day it was a beautiful teal / turquoise colour.
