I want to tell you about a paradise for lemurs. In Krasnodar safari park there is a whole island on which these lovely and funny creatures live. They do not live alone here, the lemurs have their own captain, who ensures that these playful animals behave decently and do not fool around with visitors.
Sam islet of lemurs is not big, but little animals on it are very comfortable, they live without cages and cages, jump where they want, and sleep when they want.
When I visited them in this wonderful and picturesque place of nature, not all the inhabitants of the island came to greet me. However, we met the most beautiful and active of its inhabitants.
Lemurs, as you know, always lived in Madagascar, although it was inhabited on the African continent, but did not get along with their jumping neighbors - monkeys. And when, Madagascar disconnected from the continent and became an island, the lemurs moved to it on a drifting tree. Since they do not like swimming at all. But their very name comes from the Latin word lemures, which translates as "night ghosts."
But, as it turned out, these "night ghosts" were pretty fun to behave during the day. You should have seen how they combed their hair. A fascinating sight! They have one finger on their hind legs, the second seems to me, so they use it as a comb. Pricheshutsya and begin to flirt. They can be fed here, however, in order to get to them you need to reserve a boat first, because they live - then they are on the island.
These cute and funny little animals have a very long tail, which they use to keep their balance. They weigh on it and swing, it's like a "simulator" for them, which is always there.
And lemurs communicate by means of smells. They have olfactory glands right on their wrists. I think that they really like it here, many of the inhabitants were sunbathing in the sun, others had siesta, and those you see decided to communicate with us more closely!
Around the island are many different plants and plantings. Everything is so picturesque and green. Everywhere is full of benches and swings made of rattan. The island - lemurs is located in the most picturesque and sunny place of the safari park, there are always a lot of visitors. Children really like to come to visit these mobile and funny animals.
Watching them noticed that the lemurs moving along the land raise their front paws up and make a kind of wave movements, from the side it seems as if they are dancing. Funny they have a gait!
