Howdy folks, I am posting from a motel room while out on a trip to explore and film the Escalante Grand Staircase Wilderness area on the edge of Canyonlands, Utah.
I am on my way up to the Rocky Mountains to shoot the eclipse. I am not interested in shooting the actual eclipse, I am old enough to have seen 2. Plus everyone will be shooting the eclipse.
No, I am going to fly over the mountains in the direct path of the shadow and film the mountains under the various stages of eclipse light. Should be interesting. Point is, I am doing minimal posting for the next few days…
I have to get up at 2am – pre flight the aircraft at 3am and wheels up into the air by 4am to catch the sunrise alpenglow transition. This is a film about what I do, I keep adding to it. This is the latest version.
