The View Of Sagami Bay From Atami City - Highlights Of Traveling Japan

After a day of traveling through Hakone, Japan we stayed at an unforgettable hotel in Atami City right next to Sagami Bay.

Here you can see the view of Sagami Bay. This was about a 5 min walk from the hotel, so very close.

Locals fishing right next to where I took the panorama:

The view from our hotel (Sunmi Club Hotel).

At the Sunmi Club Hotel, guests are expected to wear hotel kimonos when traversing the premises, whether to the public bath or dinner.

The hotel featured 2 public baths, one outside on the roof, and one indoors. Clothes are forbidden in the baths.

Michelle and I having Dinner at the Sunmi Club Hotel:

At dinner, the men in our group were told to eat the fish eyes, for a very special reason. The theory is that fish eyes contain certain vitamins that will make you more attractive.  We were going to see Mount Fuji from a distance the next day, and Mount Fuji is said to be a shy goddess. She only comes out of the clouds for attractive men.

In the end I learned that fish eyes are weird, but not that bad to eat.

Michelle and I took a month to travel across Japan and China this past May (2017). It was epic! Follow me @slickwilly and Michelle @curiouser for posts about our adventures!
