Hey Steemit!
Last year I visited Hawaii, Oahu. It's a beautiful island. I stayed there for the whole summer. Naturally, I couldn't afford just to put my toes in the sand for 3 months, so the moment I landed I started searching for a job and within the first 2 weeks I was hired! I worked at The Shorebird as a busser and grillmaster(fancy name :D). During my time there I also hiked many trails and tried to take some pictures with my Galaxy S3. The first hike I did was the Makapu'U Lighthouse Trail. A fairly simple hike. We just had to walk for a mile uphill in the scorching hot weather, but the view was worth it.
Here are some pictures:
We were all pretty wasted once we reached the peak since there was no wind at all during the climb. But on the peak, it felt like a hurricane :) I decided to rest a bit and noticed something new to me, the shadow was casting straight down. As a northerner I'm used to always seeing the sun and shadows at an angle :)
